Robert Farrior AEA-SAG-AFTRA

Described by Larry Moss as “a character actor in a leading man’s body,” Robert Farrior is valued for having a wide range and putting both a unique and detailed stamp on every role.

Robert's recently-released TENURE, with Luke Wilson and David Koechner, begins airing on Starz and Showtime October 1st. Robert played the lead in the dramatic thriller OUT OF THE FOG which recently won best feature film at the Heart of England, Thailand, and South Africa International film festivals. Other recent films: playing a special forces officer opposite Academy Award winners George Clooney and Kevin Spacey in THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS; the critically acclaimed SHRINK with Kevin Spacey and Robin Williams; STOP LOSS with Ryan Phillippe, Joeseph Gordon-Levitt, and Channing Tatum. Robert had the considerable pleasure to work on location for a month with Roy Scheider on one of his last films, THE GOOD WAR (aka TEXAS ’46).

On television, Robert was most recently seen in WHITE COLLAR, playing Roger Barrow, murderer and head of a high-priced prostitution ring. He also guest starred in the season premiere of LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT and has appeared on a number shows including COLD CASE, CSI: MIAMI, LAW & ORDER, LAS VEGAS, CHARMED, JAG, and PROVIDENCE.

Last summer, Robert played Mercutio in ROMEO AND JULIET in East Hampton, NY and A PIECE OF PROPERTY at the Player’s Theater in New York City. Other theater credits include DIVA at the Pasadena Playhouse with Annie Potts directed by David Lee (“Cheers”, “Wings”, creator of “Frazier”); ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION at the Zephyr Theater (LA); the long running comedy improv serial CRIME SCENE at Sacred Fools (LA); LA RONDE at the Atlantic Theater Company (NYC); SECRET OF LIFE at Wolfskill (LA); and the runaway cultural phenomenon MAYHEM AT MAYFIELD MALL – a drive-in (that’s right) comedy that took place in downtown LA for which he was interviewed on CNN, NPR, NBC, and a number of international news shows.

Robert is a founding member of one of LA’s top avant garde theater companies, Zoo District (winner of 15 Ovation and Garland awards). He has appeared in or produced numerous Zoo District productions.

In addition to producing theater, Robert produced the Telly Award winning documentary THE STORY OF DARREL ROYAL, hosted by Matthew McConaughey.

Born in Tampa, Florida, Robert attended H.B. Plant High where he was named a US Army National Scholar Athlete in football, elected president of the student body, and ranked #1 in his class. He then attended the University of Virginia and graduated With Distinction (top 15%) in Commerce, with concentrations in Finance and Management.

Robert is proud to be a Big Brother (Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles) and is also involved with The Art of Elysium (which brings the theater arts to seriously ill children) and Bpeace (which helps women entrepreneurs in post-conflict countries).  He currently splits time between New York and Los Angeles.
